In our opinion the blatant lack of movement by the big multinationals is a disgrace and moreover those of us who feel it is acceptable to simply throw away your single use bottles onto the streets for someone else to clean up shame on you!
We ask the question is this the way forward or can we change our habits and change the future?
In the report plastic bottles were top of the visible plastic waste in our waterways showing 14% of all seen plastics on the study (see base of article for source), the main sadness for us here is this is totally reversible, we are simply paying through the nose to choke our seas, it is complete madness!
Food wrappers, an issue we recently blogged about, showed second with a whopping 12%, cigarette buts at 9% were next and disposable food containers, were an unexpected, were at 6% giving us valuable insights into the current trends into our single use plastic throwaway society.
Were not surprised mind you, we walk our streets also and can’t help but be astonished how many of us simply are not getting the benefits of reusable bottles and beakers, what do we have to do to get the message across!

Benefits of a reusable water bottle

1 Save money. You could save on average its about £120 per year each simply by switching

2 Better water quality. You don’t think so I know but our opinion is that water from the tap goes through over a hundred tests to ensure it is safe whereas water bottled in plastic seems like an issue, we are told about BPA’s being a health risk, these are bisphenol A. BPA is an industrial chemical that has been used to make certain plastics and resins since the 1960s. BPA is found in polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins. Polycarbonate plastics are often used in containers that store food and beverages, such as water bottles. Lets be frank, why would you take any risks when there are such sensible options out there?

3 Stays Cold. You walk into a shop on a beautiful day, pick up a crispy cold bottle of water and pay your money over, by the time you get to finish it bets are it will be luke warm at best. Modern day bottles are insulated, drop cold in and later in the day drink cold out, simple

4 Stylish. If you like a loud, crinkly anti social water bottle buy a single use one, if not get a reusable one you like and can enjoy, there quite the item nowerdays!

5 Statement. Why not show your eco credentials and be an eco warrier?

6 Choice. Have flavoured water of your liking? Check out our recipe pages on https://foshbottle.com/blogs/fosh/tagged/recipes to get inspired on how you can make all sorts of flavoured water for your delights.

There so many more reasons but I reckon you already know that, so together we can make it better for us, better for the future generations, remember we don’t own this planet, were caretakers and were looking pretty shabby to be honest, and remember its not just us here, there are animals dying every day through this, micro plastics are appearing in all areas of our life and food, this is not just for us, this ones for us all.
