Well done Tesco!

Tesco has announced that they are cracking down on single-use plastic in their stores, which is fantastic to hear. Well done Tesco!
Can this take place in more big stores? We hope so!
They have set their targets high to ditch 67 million pieces per year which is amazing, this is big move, but the right move!

Tesco are removing the wrapping from all multipacks of tinned food. For example baked beans, soup, tuna and much more.
Let’s make this a domino effect and the other big store follow suit!

This is very commendable of Tesco with reducing their plastic, but could have been done earlier. We must remember there is not just canned food in their 3,300 stores that are covered with single-use plastic, but there is also canned drinks, but at least they’re moving in the right direction. Tesco do have their 4 Rs approach to packaging which they are sticking by. That stands for Remove, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

This kind of news makes us feel like we are all helping change the way we live for the better and that is moving in the right direction even though there’s a long way to go.
